One big question that remains, is are our owners happy? Hopefully this will give you a small glimpse of how our owners feel about us and their beloved Briarwood horses.

"On my search for a yearling, I came across Briarwood Stud, and a young colt by Keystone Rhondeo, called Briarwood Reign of Fire, aka Archie.

As an amateur dressage rider, a good temperament was my top priority. I was impressed by the work put into Archie's breeding - most importantly the use of his dam and her bloodlines, which is so often under valued by many. I'd also researched local breeders, to discover that Laura Humphreys of Briarwood Stud had won an individual silver at the 2011 World Young Breeders Championships, representing the Warmblood Breeders Studbook UK.

Armed with all this information, I had already decided Archie was the one for me before I had even met him, and he didn't disappoint. On arrival at the stud it was obvious how passionate the family are, and how much of their hearts go into each and every horse they own and breed. Archie was everything I thought he would be and more, but I was totally blown away on meeting his dam Sunday, and being privileged to be able to meet his grand dam (Sunday's dam) Deutsche Eiche. Briarwood have an amazing herd of broodmares, bought together through a determination to breed with thought and care.

Before I collected Archie, Laura kindly arranged to have him gelded and started his vaccinations. At all times, I found Laura to be helpful, professional, knowledgeable and friendly.

I'm looking forward to many successful years with Archie, and will not hesitate to contact Briarwood Stud next time I'm looking for a youngster"

 - Jessica, owner of Briarwood Reign of Fire and Briarwood Footloose (bought in 2018)

"In 2008 I decided to look for a quality coloured filly foal that could go out and show in coloured classes, and that I could eventually break and bring on under saddle. I started looking on all the web sites for a coloured filly and eventually found Giggles. She was everything I was looking for, but could she move…

I spoke to Laura and asked her if she could send me a video of her moving. Well, to say I was impressed would be an understatement. She was breathtaking and I knew from then on she had to be mine. I didn’t even go and see her, I just knew she was the one.

I sent a deposit and could not wait till she was ready for weaning. I have never for a minute regretted my decision. She has won so much for me in youngstock classes. She won Broodmare Champion at the Chaps Champs in 2012. She is now coming out under saddle, so I am very excited about her future. Thank you Laura for breeding such a fantastic girl."

"As the owner of a gorgeous and lovely natured Briarwood youngster, I know Laura's eye and approach to breeding are fantastic. Also as the owner of a mare and filly who were in her care for my filly's first 6 formative months, Laura's heart, professionalism and dedication to her and her clients' horses' welfare is absolutely second to none. I wholeheartedly recommend her."
