November 2019

Sadly Briarwood Stud said goodbye to our stallion Carousel at the age of 28. He had lived a very happy retirement with Trevor and Sharon, and we feel privileged to have been a part of his life.

Briarwood Enigma found the most amazing home with Kelly and Kon. This very special young man has a great future ahead with a loving family.

September 2019

We are lucky enough to have three foals due next year:

  • Woodlander Wild Child x Elite Petrushka (Pascal x Ramires x Black Sky xx)

  • Hilkens Gold Card x Flirtation Itself (Holme Park Flute x Itsu xx x Pretrendre xx)

  • So Unique x St Pr Roxana La Rossa (Rosentau x Wolkenstein II x Argentan)

Briarwood Wild Beauty went to Manor Grange Stud at the beginning of September for the Area Festival Finals. Unfortunately Medium didn't go to plan, but we were delighted when Ella and Charlotte came 10th in the Elementary. Ella and Charlotte have achieved so much in 2019, and we couldn't be prouder of the pair of them.

We were delighted to hear that Briarwood Firefly became Performance Test Champion at the BHHS Show with her rider Rob. This special mare has a very exciting future ahead of her.

August 2019

Briarwood Revolution went to his first outing with Charlotte and has obviously decided to take after his sister Ella. He behaved impeccably and not only won his class, but also came reserve champion.

Not to be outdone by her little brother, Briarwood Wild Beauty went to the Bronze Championships and came 8th. We were over the moon with this result, especially as she is still a relative novice at Medium. Not content with this, Ella and Charlotte then received news that they had been selected for the BD Foundation Academy. This partnership is something very special and we feel incredibly lucky to have both Ella and Jack with Charlotte and her family.

July 2019

Briarwood Wild Beauty went to the Area Festivals at Alnwick Ford Equestrian at the end of June and came 2nd in the Elementary and 4th in the Medium, qualifying for the finals at Manor Grange Stud in September.

Briarwood Notorious and Forever of Briarwood both found wonderful new homes in July. Benji (Forever of Briarwood) will be based with Charlotte Drakeley Dressage and Silas (Briarwood Notorious) has a new home with Georgie Nicholls.

Briarwood Narcissa left Briarwood Stud to begin her career with Hannah Biggs. It was sad to see Millie go, but we are so excited to continue to be a part of her journey.

Elite Petrushka, dam of both Ella and Jack, decided that two Briarwood babies wasn't enough and we are delighted that she is in foal to Woodlander Wild Child, due in June 2020. Huge thanks to our Supervet Claire.
