Briarwood Remembrance

Keystone Rivallino x Donnerhall x Pik Bube

Dam: Deutsche Eiche

1st May 2011

Deutsche Eiche’s first embryo transfer foal was born on May 1st 2011. A petite bay filly by Keystone Rivallino, Tilly has many traits of her biological mother, but also the calm nature of her surrogate mother Flirty.

Tilly was given her show name in remembrance of a very special family member that sadly died at the beginning of 2011. She is one of the friendliest foals we have ever bred, and has inherited her mother’s fantastic movement.

Tilly has been retained as a future broodmare and dressage horse for Laura, although if she is anything like her dam Deutsche Eiche (Donnerhall x Pik Bube), she will also enjoy some show jumping too!

In 2017, we made the decision to send Tilly to a good friend to begin her ridden career. We felt that Meg (owner of Briarwood Bumblebee), would give her the best possible start.

We were delighted that Meg and Tilly attended their first BD Regionals in February 2019. They came 6th in a large Preliminary class, and we couldn't have been more proud of them.

After competing at several BE 100 events in 2021, the decision was made to concentrate on dressage with Tilly, beginning with the Summer Regionals at Medium.

In 2023, Tilly took a break from competing and gave birth to her first foal, a bay colt by Briarwood Revolution.

In January 2020, as Meg prepared to begin her university career, Tilly joined Ella with Charlotte and family in Yorkshire. She soon showed her talent for jumping and completed her first BE90 in August. A successful season followed and we are delighted when she finished second at her final BE90 at Oasby Horse Trials.
