Temperament and talent
Briarwood Stud is home to breeder Laura Humphreys and her family, in the rolling countryside of South Wales.
Horses have been an enormous part of Laura's life since the age of four, but a very supportive family and a BSc (Hons) degree in Equine Science from Hartpury College have allowed Laura to pursue her passion, and in 2009, Briarwood Stud was born. A place in the 2011 British Young Breeders team followed, and she was even featured in Horse and Hound as a young breeder to watch.
At Briarwood Stud, equal emphasis is placed upon temperament as talent; meaning that the youngsters have the potential to reach the top of the sport, whilst still being amenable, kind horses who bring joy to the lives of those that own or ride them.
Briarwood believes its success can be measured not only in the results of our youngsters, but also in the delight of those owners that have welcomed a Briarwood horse into their lives.
